today we saw a big truck, it was very big then we went inside the big truck. this is all about us learning about wood and forestry we learnt all about what foresters, and logging truck drivers do. after that we went down to the logging truck and we went inside it and tooted the air horn whilst we learnt all about the controls and length of the truck. from this experience I learnt all about logging trucks and the forestry industry.

Under the mountain is a story about two twins, with red hair. Who go to live in Auckland with their uncle, who lives in a fancy modern house instead of their run down farmhouse.
The two main characters are two twins Rachel and Theo who have the ability to pebble which is a form of telepathy. Apart from the twins there are other characters these include Mr Jones, uncle Clarry, aunt Noeline and the wilberforces which are a species of slug like creatures.
I really like this book because it is set in New Zealand. Five star easy. I would recommend this book to people who like the series amulet because both stories have powers given to specific people.
to reflect on my learning I enjoyed reading and writing my first ever novel study.
On the first day of camp it was raining heavily, so we canceled our hike and swim at Matauri bay, instead we went to an indoor sports facility, and as always we played music on the way there. When we got there we had lunch before we started playing. There were three games. First I played a little bit of football and then I went to play basketball then I played hockey and scored a hatrick. When we went to camp the first thing we did was get settled into our dorms before we had mac and cheese for dinner then we had a quiz night. We went to bed. It was hard to fall asleep at first, then I fell asleep. In the morning we had breakfast. They poured the milk before the cereal which ticked me off. We got on the bus at I don’t remember o clock, and the two hour trip commenced and you guessed it we played music all the way. By the way we went to Hokianga. When we got there we had morning tea before we watched a performance about Kupe. When we got back on the bus we went to say hi to Tane Mahuta. I wanted to hug him but we weren’t allowed to touch him. We learnt lots about him thow when we went back to camp we had time to practice our skit before the camp fire. When we had the campfire we first had marshmallows then we performed our skits and we did a rugby scrum for ours. After the campfire we all played spotlight then we went to bed and Jahn made me lose my mind by snoring every four seconds. After that horrible night I woke up and had breakfast then we went bush after that we came back to school. 
on Tuesday we had athletics day, and i liked it because there were so many sports to play including high jump, long jump, sprints, and shot put. I think I did best in high jump because I jumped 900 centre meters and the only photo I got of myself was practice for high jump sorry.

“We’re going for a trip in our favorite rocket ship” sang Broady “Stop that please those songs are for babies”exclaimed Kent “but it’s true we’re going to space” said Broady “boys dinners ready” shouted mum “what is it ?” questioned Kent “ spaghetti and meatballs” said mum. “So how was your day Kent? Asked mum” it was ok but its not like we can go surfing or anything moaned Kent” “i’ve done some research and you can go surfing in space on these solar waves” exclaimed mum“oh sick” shouted kent “and how was your day Brody” asked mum “where’s dad” wailed Broady “I know he’s not here right now but he’s gotta stay and fight the aliens” said mum. “Citizens of room 8154 we regret to inform you that a relative of yours has been captured and taken prisoner, we are tracking a ship heading for the mining system of Dentor” said a loud voice over the speakers “no no no that can’t be said mum ” what is it mum” asked Kent “dads been captured and most likely gonna be enslaved” said mum .

“Kent and Broady Muller this is the second time you’ve been caught sneaking off colony grounds” shouted commander Krill. You know what the punishments are if this happens again you will be expelled from the intergalactic surf academy and stripped of your surf licenses”. “What no, we just want to see our dad” said Kent “can you not just go home?” asked commander Krill “our dad was taken prisoner by aliens back when we fought them and evacuated earth” said Kent oh yes that brings back memories my whole family were killed said shouted commander Krill” “sounds like a you problem” said Broady “Brody I might just expell you for that but I won’t because I will help you get in to the intergalactic space academy” exclaimed commander Krill “why?” asked Broady “because with that you can travel wherever you want in the whole universe , so you can rescue your father”. Said commander Krill “Oh thank you commander krill” said Kent “i’ll see you next week for your first day” shouted commander Krill.

“97,98,99,100 i’m done” said Kent “wow kent you’re insane 100 pushups in 2 minutes your brother on the other hand said commander Krill “28,29,30” “hey wait till we get to aim train before you count him out” said Kent “ what do you mean?” asked commander Krill ” well commander back home on earth before the aliens our dad would take us hunting and Broady had a really good aim” exclaimed Kent “ok let’s do that then Broady were going” said commander Krill “but im only at 58 ” said Broady” Broady were going to aim train said commander Krill” “yay said Broady”. “Ok to get in you need 70% or above and Kent you got 87% and Broady you got 72% just making it in, great job to both of you here are your badges use this authority wisely. Oh and there’s your spacecraft there”.

Too days later
“Ok have you got everything toothbrush, food, warm clothes” said mum “yes mum we have everything” moaned Kent “make sure you come back safe hopefully with your father” said mum “bye mum love you” said the boys “i love you to my beautiful boys” said mum “ok how do we do this do we do it stealthy or go in guns blazing” said Broady “a little bit of both said Kent” “so the plan is we make it up as we go” asked Broady “yes” said kent “are you sure that will work” questioned Broady “well we don’t really have time to plan were entering the atmosphere of Dentor now” said Kent “wow this things fast” said Broady “unnamed spacecraft you need an authorisation code to enter Dentor” said a loud voice “oh aliens kent lets just go in guns blazing” said Broady “as you wish according to the tracker the ship is moving to the north side of the planet” said Kent “hey Broady this might sound crazy but your gonna have to jump onto the transport that hopefully has dad on it” exclaimed Kent. “I’m gonna jump” said Broady “aahhh” “Brody is that you look so old and grown up” said dad.

yesterday we went to the Manikalani film festival we saw films from all over the north island compete our school entered to films one about tech at our own school and the other about the art we do at our school my favourite movie was Pompalier schools short film 1 and the winner was Mangonui school.
